Raina’s POV
“That can’t be true. Venus isn’t like that. She’s been my best friend for years. She wouldn’t,” I lashed out, refusing to believe him. “She wouldn’t betray me.”
Something pointedly sharp poked my jaw. The sharp sting of it cut me off from saying anything further. My heart stopped as it raked down my skin, tearing into it as my fears spiked.
I gasped and winced, gritting in pain.
“You tried to ruin me, you bitch.” This new feminine voice had heavy resentment. “You looked down on me. Had them hunting me. Stole from me. Well, now it's my turn.”
