Chapter 30
Justin’s POV
With our mother’s visit to Paris approaching, Selene and I decided to go grocery shopping to ensure we had everything we needed to make her stay comfortable and enjoyable. We wanted to stock up on her favorite foods and plan some delicious home-cooked meals.
We headed to the local grocery store with a list of items and a sense of excitement about our upcoming family reunion. As we walked through the aisles, Selene pushed the cart while I grabbed the items we needed.
After doing a grocery run with Selene, I decided to go to Eli. I knew she was busy preparing some French pastries for Mom, so I decided to help her as much as I could.
She opened the door for me, and I noticed how messy her kitchen was from baking.
“You need help, don’t you?” I chuckled.
“No, Justin. I’m okay. You know baking can be messy, but I can handle this,” she assured me, but I was stubborn and decided to clean the used baking utensils to make things easier f
