Eliana’s POV

I went home after eating at Justin’s house to welcome his mom. I guess it went well. I could see how they liked the pastries I made especially for them.

Once I got into my room, I received a phone call from Wendel. I answered it quickly because he seldom called due to his work in Dubai.

“Hey,” I answered the call.

“Eli, I miss you. It’s been a while. I’ve been busy, which is why I couldn’t contact you. But how are you now?” he said enthusiastically on the other line.

“It’s alright. I’ve been busy for a while, too, but I’ve been really good,” I said, smiling even though he didn’t see me.

“That’s great. I wanted to tell you that the wedding is near. He wanted me to tell you that you’re invited and wanted to be on good terms and to remain friends with you, Eli. What are your thoughts about it?” he asked straightforwardly.

“I think I’ve fallen in love with someone,” I said, and that made him pause for a while.
