Justin’s POV

I had to pick up my mom at the airport today. I was with Selene, and we were so excited to see our mom again.

“I thought Eli would come with us,” Selene said as she buckled up her seatbelt.

“Yeah, but she told me she needed to prepare the pastries she baked for Mom,” I said as I turned on the engine of the car.

“I’m sure Mom will love the pastries Eli made,” Selene said with a smile.

“Yeah, Eli really wanted to make a good impression,” I replied, my thoughts briefly drifting to the heartfelt conversations Eli and I had shared recently about our feelings and the complexities of our relationship.

As we approached the airport, a sense of excitement and nervousness washed over me. I hadn’t seen my mother in a while, and I hoped that our reunion would be everything I had imagined.
