Chapter 65

Elyana's POV

Pretzel held me on the wrist and guided me to the side of the house where nobody could see us.

There were tall fortune plants where she took me. I was covering my mouth to hide my shaking chin when I suddenly thought she might harm me. I did something to her and Felix back then and she might use that moment to take revenge.

She halted. "What's wrong?" she asked as she faced me. My tears were right in the corners of my eyes, and I was waiting for something to trigger them to fall.

The time had come. The tears freely went down my cheeks. She repeated the question, but I was so embarrassed to tell her what I was crying about.

I cried. Pretzel unexpectedly pulled me close to her and hugged me. She kept silent for a moment. Her gesture made me cry even more because she was still kind, even though I was a witch to her before. I even felt her hand tapping my back gently. I must say how comforting that was.

I didn't know for how many minutes
