Chapter 10

The next morning, Jayden's screaming in his room jolted me awake, and if there was one thing I detested more than anything else, it was being interrupted while I was trying to get some shut-eye.

"What's going on?" I mumbled to myself as I dragged myself out of bed and groggily made my way up to Jayden's room on the second floor.

"What now?!" I asked with so much irritation, but I suddenly felt wide awake when I noticed him sweating so much, so I thought that he was feeling ill.

"Are you ok?" I asked worriedly if something happened to  it was going to be on my conscience.

"No! I'm not okay! I need to go to the bathroom!" He answered, irritation all over his face.

After I had figured out what he needed to do, I decided to put the key within his reach, and before I left the room, I locked the door to ensure that he wouldn't be able to get away.
