Chapter 48. Is It Possible to Return?

The departure of Lilyana and Chris created resentment within Ed Shane. The man beat the wind to vent his frustration.

"Why do you look normal, Dad?"

"Because I will leave my daughter as long as she is happy."

"Even if she betrays?"

"It wasn't her who betrayed, Ed," said Gladwin Hamilton, who then turned his head and glared at his son-in-law. "But you!"

For a moment Ed Shane fell silent. He had made an unforgivable mistake.

The man then stepped into the kitchen. He saw a plate of toast on the dining table with a glass of milk next to it.

Ed Shane didn't even have the desire to eat the food and decided to return to his room.
