Chapter 72. An Agreement

"You break the agreement?" Ed Shane frowned.

During the time she was with him, Lilyana never told anything about the agreement or anything like that. Ed Shane only knows that Chris was Lilyana's boyfriend at school without knowing why the two split up, a pact and what made Margaretha hate his wife so much.

Even Ed Shane didn't know who Margaretha was either. If Ivy hadn't kept mentioning her name, he probably would never have heard of it either.

Lilyana nodded her head. Tears then rolled down her cheeks.

Meanwhile, Chris was busy reaching into the pocket of the hoodie he was wearing. From inside he took a piece of crumpled paper that was already brownish in color covered with dust, cobwebs and even dirt and other debris.

He lifted the piece of paper. "Here's the agreement."

The piece of paper was placed on the table which Ed Shane immediately took. With a little speed but still careful, Ed Shane unfolded the paper that had been folded into several folds
