Ruby extended her hand, so Nova took it, sealing the deal. Now they would team up against Dr. Richard once and for all shut him down with his dark deeds.

No sooner had Ruby and Nova finalized a contract from shaking hands than Shadow happened to pass by his eyes dropped on the two holding hands. His gaze tightened, and he scowled into a frown.

He advanced towards them, reproach lacing in, and they let go of each other's hands in a rather hurried manner.

"Excuse me, but let me remind you both no romance allowed in the quarters," Shadow said, his eyes flicking from Nova to Ruby.

Nova and Ruby did an embarrassed look at one another before nodding their heads simultaneously.

"Understood," Nova replied with a flat tone.

"We're only partners on this mission, Shadow. Nothing more," Ruby supplemented.

Shadow's frown deepened further as he viewed Nova, then turned and walked away.
