Chapter 21. The Curse (1)

Ethan’s past self had known right from the beginning that Amara hid there listening to their every conversation. Right now, she should have known quite a lot from what had been discussed, and knowing alone was risky enough. Nathan watched helplessly as Ethan told Amara to move forward.

Meanwhile, the Ethan watching this unfold was still in haze about all that played before him. This was a memory, yet he remembered nothing of it. He had met Amara before, but when he met her a month ago, he thought he was just seeing her for the first time. He wrapped his brain that there was an important message here, probably a hidden memory in Amara’s head. Something could at least tell him why he had some sort of connection to her.

Amara moved forward. As she stood in front of Ethan and Nathan, her legs gave up and she fell to the ground. Ethan’s past self saw this and laughed. He thought she was so petty and little, a child trembling in the sight of him.
