Chapter 24. What Do You See?

Normally, it was wrong for the memory to interact with the intruder, but for Amara it was different. Ethan wasn’t sure of what she was yet, so he had no choice but to follow the little teenage Amara. Maybe what she wanted to show him was something that could answer his questions.

Ethan followed teenage Amara into the basement of the Morgan’s family house. Before they went down, teenage Amara paused and turned to look at Ethan. After a long while, she pointed at the door leading to the basement and asked, “What do you see?”

At first, Ethan didn’t know what to see, or what he was supposed to see. He stared at the door for a while, but saw nothing. He turned to teenage Amara, “I see nothing.”

Instead she asked again, her hands still pointing at the door to the basement, “what do you see?”
