Chapter 51. Disagreement

MORGANA’S POV

“I had him, Chloe. I had him right under my palm. I could have killed him.” I pace around Warren’s room in frustration. Warren hasn’t spoken to me since I got here. I think he’s mad at me and with good reason, I just don’t know what to say to him. There is no excuse for what I did.

“You scare me Morgana. You almost died and the next thing you do is throw yourself at the vampire lord? You have to be more precautious.” Chloe scolds and I raise my brows at her folding my arms across my chest.

“Are we on the same side or what? We have a goal, to kill the vampires. If I have a chance to do it, tell me exactly why I should hold back.”  I defend.

“I get it. Trust me, we all get it, but you have to think of yourself too and your safety. We’re in this together remember? You can’t act on your own.” Chloe says and my face morphs into a light frown.
