Chapter 16
Pollen’s POV
With a loud bang, the door was forced open, and my mother appeared.
I let the red baggy shirt that was hanging above my chest fall quickly. I was wearing my usual black shorts under the red shirt.
She walked toward me with her back straight and a serious expression on her face. Her short brown hair swayed slightly as she went.
“What are you doing?” She inquired.
Her eyes darted from one side to another, hoping to find what I might be hiding.
“Nothing” I mumbled and left the mirror to the bed.
When it dawned on me that she didn't knock before walking in, I spun to call her out.
“Aren't you supposed to knock? Coming in like that isn't acceptable” I stated calmly.
However, she seemed too engrossed in looking around my room to care about my complaint. She stood by the edge of my bed for several seconds.
