Chapter 123. Reunion & Quarrel III

I felt pain all over my body. My head hurt a lot. I struggled to open my eyes, and when I finally did, I quickly closed them again because of the bright light. I blinked a few times and slowly got used to the brightness. I looked around and saw that I was in a strange room. There were annoying beeping sounds all around me. I tried to lift myself up, but my arm hurt badly. "Ouch," I said. Then I noticed a nurse in uniform looking at me with big eyes. "You're awake! I'll go get the doctor right away!" she said and hurried out of the room. I realized then that I was in a hospital bed. Every memory before I passed out came rushing back to me. A truck was coming towards Seraphina, and I pushed her out of the way, taking the hit myself. After saying 'I love you' to Seraphina, everything went black.
