Chapter 128. A Very White Rejection
Teyana’s POV
Natalie’s defiant appearance was intimidating enough without trying so hard. She had this aura and sharp facial features that gave off a cold energy. And that had always unsettled me in a ‘not so very good’ way, especially because she’s the mother of the man I had come to love so much more than breath itself.
During the few times I’d seen her, I had hoped she would smile at me, receive me warmly as the woman her son is courting, and give her blessings.
Maybe I was being delusional, but I was aware of how much Jeremy loved this woman. Her consent would mean everything to me. But sadly, she had never seem to notice me.
Maybe she had, but hadn’t deemed me worthy of regarding.
So now, immediately she approached us, her smile vanishing on seeing me, I knew nothing good was coming out of meeting her today. Her sharp gaze were still on me. My stomach twisted before she spoke.
“Well,” Natalie started, her voice poised, perfectly polite
