Jeremy’s POV
The boys didn’t let me be even after I outrightly rejected their offer. And now, here I was, where my first love was parked. My ride. I had my gloves fixed on, boots strapped, clad in black armless shirt and black pants.
Most times, I don’t see myself wearing any other color other than black. Maybe because it complimented my energy.
“Yo, let’s get to it, champ.” Hayes cheered.
“I know you can do it. Let’s do this!” Rex's voice came next.
Julian and Daniel weren’t left out as they hyped me up. Maybe I needed this. Even if it was for a short moment, it would take my mind off everything.
Even if the stitching in my arm protested.
Even if the doctor warned caution.
Even if my mind was a minefield waiting for the wrong step to blow everything up.
Riding has always been my sanctuary—my one place where the world, the noise, the memories, the fucking traumas… all went quiet.
