Chapter 16. The Call That Saved Me

Teyana’s POV

My mind was a mess, heart beating fast. I was too shocked to process an excuse as his hands gripped my thighs through my jeans and caressed gently.

“This is the perfect time. We are alone, and not high school students anymore.” He said as his lips came down to brush mine again.

Just then—as if the universe could hear my unsaid desperate plea, Sean’s phone rang. He groaned against my mouth then reached to silent it.

“What if it is important,” I muttered, palm against his chest.

He pulled back just slightly, jaw tightening in irritation. His eyes darted to the glowing screen before flicking back to me. “It can wait.”

“Sean,” I insisted, forcing a light chuckle to hide how uncomfortable I was. “You should answer.”
