Chapter 23. Let Me
Teyana’s POV
By the time we pulled up in front of a secluded house in what looked like a private area, I was already rethinking my decision of following Jeremy here. We hadn’t said a word to each other during the ride. My heart hadn’t stopped pounding either—since he pinned me over that bike.
Jeremy killed the engine, still not saying a word. I exhaled sharply as the distracting pressure of his back left me when he swung off the bike, leather jacket glinting under the dim security lights. I climbed off after him, a little stiffly.
His phone beeped. It had been beeping since.
“Won’t you pick your call?” I asked. I watched as he put it on airplane mode before responding to me. “No need.” Oh okay. My own phone had gone off before we got here or I would have been so sure Carol would call.
Lots had happened tonight. From realizing Stacy was Zayne’s younger sister to the fights, and embarrassment that followed. Not to talk off the moment between Jeremy
