Chris is gay…that didn’t sit well with me yet. “How did you get to know that? If he’s gay, why is he even with you?” Carol had never stopped gushing about Chris since she met him at a function. She was so into him since they started their relationship and they sure looked happy together the few times I’ve seen them.

Carol let out a jagged breath, her hands trembling as she wiped under her eyes. “I found out yesterday night,” she said, voice breaking. “I traced him to a party.”

I wanted all the details. Positioning my glasses well on the bridge of my nose, I asked. “Why would you trace him to a party? Why not go with him if you wanted to?”
