I wasn’t thinking properly when I stormed out of the police station and zoomed off in my car. It didn’t dawn on me that I left Olivia there when I was her ride back home.

I pressed my left thumb against the bridge of my nose as I tried to contain the anger that surged through me. When I was a little bit calm, I called one of my drivers and asked him to pick up Olivia from the station.

After I hung up the call, I texted Olivia to let her know that the driver was picking her up. As I drove off, my mind wandered back to what Diana said.

‘It was…. It was Sandra. Sandra planned everything. She paid me a large sum of money to tamper with your brakes.’ My grip tightened on the steering wheel and I drove faster as those words replayed in my head.

How could Sandra do something as evil as that? The thought sent a chill down my spine. Everything started making sense.<
