Chapter 83. Nap

After spending about an hour with me, Alexander left because he had something to take care of at his office. Since I didn’t have any other plans for the day, I made my way to my room and indulged in a long nap.

When I woke up from my nap, I reached out to my phone to see what the time was. But my heart skipped a bit when I saw a text Alexander sent me.

[ Arthur is going to drop the kids off later in the day. I can’t even look at your face right now!]

I felt a wave of panic wash over me. Did Alexander find out about my secret? How did he find out?

I sat upright on the bed and tried calling his number several times but it went straight to voicemail. Did he block my number from calling him?

My heart started racing and I didn’t know what to do. I called his office and asked to speak to him but his assistant said he left already.
