I was meant to drop the twins at Olivia’s house but I decided to take them to mine instead. I didn’t want to jump to conclusions. Even if she had been acting weird recently, I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt.

I pulled up at the garage and ushered the kids into the house. I made sure they were comfortable and asked Emily to take care of them before heading upstairs to my room.
