Bradley’s POV

“Now, all I need to know is who is behind this chaos? Who is the target, and what does it have to do with Leila...” I uttered to myself while walking to the jail where Leila was. It’s late at night, but I can’t wait for the morning because I don’t want Leila to sleep in prison.

After making sure Leila was safe, I hurried with the investigation. I first looked for Samantha’s friends, but they weren’t in the pack house, so I had to go to their home. The two companions immediately confessed to what happened, and as Leila said, Samantha started bullying the latter; that’s why they testified it was self-defense.

“Alpha...” The guard stood up quickly when he saw me heading toward the prison compound.

“Are you alone?” I asked. I immediately noticed the guard was agitated; that’s why I frowned.

The guard was smiling. “No, Alpha, I have a companion. However, he left for a while to get something to drink.”

I nodded one after the other while im
