Chapter 30. Not Ready

Kyle’s POV

My father’s voice is just background noise in the middle of this meeting. I think he is talking about the new alliance with the Starlight Pack, but I cannot be sure.

I keep glancing at the burner phone in my hand. It is the only number Eryn hasn’t blocked. I thought she would have called me the minute she got the roses. I put a lot of thought into those.

“Kyle,” my father growls.

My eyes glance up from the phone, and my father is glowering at me. Ignoring his tone, I turn my attention back to the phone.

“If you will excuse us, gentlemen. I need to have a private word with my son,” Dad says as politely as he can muster.
