Chapter 34. Bath Time

Eryn’s POV

Atticus marches right past my bedroom with me in his arms. I look over his shoulder and open my mouth to speak, but he shakes his head from side to side.

“My bedroom is back there,” I whisper next to his ear. Goosebumps rise all over his skin as my breath hits his neck.

“Cassie isn’t back yet,” he grumbles. “You can’t stay alone.”

“Was that part of the doctor’s orders?” I ask because I wasn’t told I couldn’t be alone.

“My rule,” Atticus grunts.

He carries me into his bedroom and sets me down on his bed. He is storming around his bedroom, opening drawers and slamming them shut. I cower on the bed. I am not sure why he is so angry with me.

“I am sorry,” I whimper. “I didn’t mean to upset you.”

“You didn’t,” he says coldly.

He tosses me a t-shirt and a pair of boxers. I set them in my lap without looking at them. I am not sure what he wants me to do.

“The bathroom is in there,” he points to a door in his room
