My mind was pulled in numerous directions after receiving Layla’s urgent message: ‘Code red.’

My heart raced with thoughts of what could have possibly gone wrong back home. Had Lilith crossed a line? A shiver ran through my body, betraying my anxiety, and Angelo reached out, gently patting my trembling knee.

“I’m sure everyone is fine, Astria. We’re stronger than you think,” Angelo reassured me with a warm smile.

“But—”

“Don’t worry yourself. We’re already here, and panicking won’t help anyone, okay? Stay grounded and keep your thoughts focused on the present,” Angelo advised, his face glowing with a mix of comfort and anticipation.
