Chapter 65

Angelo swiftly grabbed the extinguisher, his heart pounding as he surveyed the chaotic scene. Smoke filled the air, obstructing his vision. But amidst the chaos, he spotted Astria, motionless on the floor of the living room.

Without a moment’s hesitation, he dashed towards her, wrapping his warm woolen jacket around her face to shield her from the poisonous fumes.

Almost immediately, he noticed a cloud of poisonous gas that had infiltrated the room and he quickly held his breath. In order to save her, in a single fluid motion, he made his way towards the exit.

However, just as he was about to escape the fire, he turned to find Ryan, visibly stricken with fear and in a split second, a wave of scorching heat washed over him, prompting Angelo to leap out of the house, landing safely on the street.

Breathless, Ryan rushed to their side, his concern evident.
