Chapter 240. Night Run

Ellis’s POV

I was angry that Jace told Love about the attack on the border. I didn’t want her involved in fights.

“Love can take care of herself. She’s an excellent fighter,” Selene said. The mage had come over in the morning to help with the kids and spend time with them. She gave me a cup of tea. I smelled it and cringed.

“Smells terrible,” I sighed.

“However, it tastes really good, and will help you a lot,” she said. The withdrawal hasn’t been pleasant the last two days, but I was feeling better today, and the migraines are fading now.

“Who is attacking your pack,” she asked,

“Maleck,” I answered. My cousin was determined to cause me trouble, but I would kill him soon. He was working with a vampire who killed two members of my pack. Such crimes can’t go unpunished. Selene and I discussed the attack on my pack. I smiled when Love’s scent reached my nose.
