Chapter 503. I Can Feel You

Jamila’s POV

Nicholas watches me with a mix of confusion and yearning. Suddenly, an incredible sensation floods me as Ziora surges within me, reclaiming her full power. I can see and feel every essence of her coursing through me. But before I can speak, Nicholas stands abruptly, startled. “Your eyes- they flashed purple,” he whispers, astonishment etched across his face.

“And... I can feel you.” His words send shivers down my spine. I go to him, cupping his face in my hands, and the electrifying sparks that shoot between us are unreal. Nicholas grips my wrists, leaning into my palms, his eyes closing as tears slip down his cheeks and into my hands. Slowly, he sinks to his knees, and I follow. He pulls me into his arms, and I feel the weight of his sorrow as a heart-wrenching sob escapes him.

“I... I... I can feel you,” he manages to say through broken breaths. He holds me; the pressure against my ribs is almost painful, but I welcome the discomfort if it mea
