“Drake!” I shout, my excitement surging as I sprint into his arms. He is taken aback and pulls from me slowly.

“You missed me, eh?” His voice is playful, but he glances warily at Nicholas, a friendly reminder of how possessive my mate could be. I take a moment to absorb Drake’s transformation.
