Chapter 21

I just stared at the hands holding me. I know I'm not the only one who feels a strong connection between us. It's possible that he is like me and can't believe that with the number of creatures in this world, another race is destined for us.

"Yes, I am already mated to someone." I felt his hand tighten on mine.

I know he wants to tell me something; I can see it in his eyes. I want him to say this; just tell me. Tell me, Adam.

He was about to start speaking when I felt Orion's violent hand. He immediately removed Adam's hands from me.

"Don't touch her!" Orion immediately pulled me away from him. The barrier is gone.

"So that's him, your mate..." Adam said it fatly, lazily glancing at Orion, who was snarling in anger.

"Orion.."

"Yes, I am her mate, werewolf." My eyes almost widened at what he said. No! I want to scream and protest. It's not him, Adam; it's not him. But instead of being able to speak, I just let Orion take me away from him.
