I almost believed my ears had deceived me, but I knew I was wrong. Adriel spoke to me in such an authoritative manner that it was impossible to be mistaken. I glanced at Augusto, who was a few meters away, in an ambiguous attempt to offer privacy to Adriel while ensuring his security. However, at that moment, I had no intention of thinking about Adriel's future senator image.
"Augusto, can you wait a little in the hallway, please?" I asked, nodding my head in the direction of the corridor.
The security guard agreed as I opened the door wider, inviting Adriel to come in. Adriel stepped into the apartment, and I closed the door behind us, truly providing us with privacy.
"Who do you think you are to talk to me like this?" I asked, struggling to remain calm in the face of his rudeness.
