Upon waking up the next morning, I felt unwell, prompting the doctor to restrict visits only to those closest to me. Cecília mentioned Olivia's desire to visit me, but unfortunately, that day wasn't possible. I understood, but a part of me wished I had the chance to talk to Olivia and clarify some things.
In the hospital, time seemed to drag on, and I felt that visits were always too brief. However, drowsiness enveloped me most of the time, a result of the strong medications to alleviate the pain from the surgery. Every minute felt like an eternity, and I longed for the moment when I would leave that hospital room.
