Chapter 26. A Misunderstanding

Liam seemed to be extremely irritated, which made me equally furious. Despite acknowledging that what he was saying made sense, I wasn't planning to accept his explanation so easily. Liam needed to learn to be more polite to the people around him, especially when I was helping him achieve what he wanted. It didn't matter if I would be paid for it; I hadn't received a single cent of Liam's money yet.
"I don't know you well enough to comment on what you are or aren't capable of," I responded to Liam. He didn't like what he heard, as his gestures made it clear: a pointed finger, a furious look, and a mouth ready to unleash offensive words. That was when Marta entered, preventing Liam from saying whatever he intended.
