Chapter 57. Intimacy

Breath escaped rapidly from my lungs, my heart still pounding in my chest, recalling the ecstasy of being with Cecília in that way. I couldn't resist and planted another kiss on the woman beside me, feeling our breaths entwined even after the intense moment we shared.
"Are you okay?" I asked, looking into Cecília's eyes.
She smiled, her eyes shining with satisfaction.
"I couldn't be better, Liam."
A laugh escaped my lips, happiness and a pleasant sense of relaxation spreading through my body. This moment after the shared intimacy was different from anything I had experienced before.
