Chapter 69. All for Her
Liam
We walked together towards the garage, and as I opened the car door for Cecilia, I couldn't help but notice that her cheeks had taken on a tinge of color, a curious sign after the intense night we had shared. I restrained a smile, choosing not to comment on it. As we pulled out of the garage, already inside the car, I broke the silence, asking Cecilia how she was, reaching out my hand to hold hers. “Is something wrong?”
“It's fine,” Cecilia replied, but her expression contradicted her words.
“It doesn't seem like it. You seem to be avoiding my touch. Something is wrong” I insisted, trying to unravel the reason for her change in attitude.
Cecilia looked at me, visibly conflicted. She opened her mouth a few times as if about to say something but ended up giving up. She repeated that everything was fine, but the tension persisted.
