The next day, during breakfast, Valentina surprised us by announcing that she would be returning home and that in the next few days, she would be going on a vacation with Frederico. Liam seemed surprised, but also visibly happy with his parents' reconciliation. As we enjoyed our meals, the atmosphere was light and relaxed, a welcome relief after the tension of the previous day.

After finishing breakfast, Liam announced that we would go to the office together. I assumed it was because Valentina was still in the apartment, so I agreed without questioning. We headed to work together, using the commute to chat about lighter topics.

However, at the end of the day, Liam insisted again that I come home with him. I was a bit confused, considering Valentina wouldn't be at the apartment when we returned.
