“Vasudha di, when did you come and why didn’t anybody tell me that you are coming?” Priya said while giving her a bone-crushing hug.

“I came here today itself, and as for not confiding in you, well, I wanted to surprise you.”

“Vasudha, Priya, come for dinner; after that, you both can chat as much as you want,” ma’s voice came from the kitchen.

They all sat at the table and started chit-chatting.

“Ma, where is Puneet?”

“He has gone to his friend’s house for a night stay, as they are working on a group project which they have to submit tomorrow,” Hema (Priya’s mother) told them.

The dinner ended in silence. Both the sisters went to their respective rooms.
