Three faces turned towards Alpha Artic as he delivered his statement with complete conviction, condemning his fellow Alphas.

"Although I myself revere the mate bond, I firmly believe it must be completely mutual. It should never turn into a prison if it's not beneficial for both individuals involved."

Jerney nodded with a serious expression. "Exactly, that's why the situation has escalated. The Council meeting was highly charged. Becca is currently at Moon Shine with her new mate, Elyon. Their Luna ceremony takes place tonight."

Alpha Artic's eyes opened wide in surprise. "Elyon? How did this happen? Becca was supposed to be with Zane, not trapped in another bond."

Jerney let out a deep sigh. "The Moon Goddess moves in mysterious ways. Becca and Elyon are second chance mates, yet the bond remains weak for Becca. Despite her rejection, Elyon is resolute in not accepting it, he’s determined to make her his Luna."
