Alex's eyes widened as shock and rage struggled for control over his expression. My words obviously struck him with the force of a ton of bricks.

"Johnston! What do you say! Your mate is expecting a child with Becca's fiancé?" Alex exclaimed incredulously. All I can do is nod.

This is the most humiliating situation your mate can put you in, forcing you to admit that she's involved with other women's husbands.

Despite my longing for her, discussing how her lightheartedness affects others and disrupts their lives is incredibly painful.

"And that's not all, Alex. It gets even worse, she had an secret affair with Delta Lance. Just last night, I saw her at her apartment with another man. She was trying to end their friends with benefits relationship, but he refused to accept it," I whispered in utter humiliation.

Alex's eyes bulge and horror spread over his face. The more I talk about my mate, the worse the picture gets.
