Chapter 18
Cara's POV
I headed to Sophie's room; I couldn't leave without even a single goodbye to her. That would be unfair from me, seeing how distant we were getting, and it was all my fault. I was never in the mood to talk or have any chat. It had been worse with May; she had even once sent Lucian to talk to me; she thought she did something bad to me, but I did my best to assure him that it was nothing and I was just busy.
I wanted to make up for all that, but I guess it's too late now. It was strange how I once wanted friends, and when they were finally here, I took them all for granted.
I remembered Sophie had told me she wanted to keep her child; I couldn't give any response then, and I didn't all those while because I had in some way secluded myself from them all. Now that I did feel bad, I wondered if knocking at her door only to tell her I was leaving would be a good decision.
