Chapter 24

Cara's POV

Teo lived in an abandoned house, right in the middle of nowhere, which led me to believe that was his style— abandoned houses. I remembered when he held me as a captive; it was also an abandoned building, and the memory still made me shiver.

The little house was far away from my pack and from my home; it was like starting all over again. Teo showed me to an empty room; it had little, just a bed and a few furnitures that I was sure he had only brought here recently to fill up my room. I couldn't help but wonder how long he had been watching me.

I kept my distance from him, barely talking to him, because I could only think about Rollins with each passing day. I wondered how everybody back at the pack would be faring, and all those thoughts were enough to occupy my mind that I could easily spend a whole day without thinking about food. This seemed to worry Teo more than it should; he was always checking up on me, and it only got annoying.
