Rollins's POV

We discovered the dead bodies—those vampires—it seemed like they were heading our way but they had been attacked.

The question was, who had killed them?

The first person that came to mind was Cara, but if she had been this close, then she should have visited... but again, it occurred to me that she didn't want to see any of us, not the pack members, not her friends, and not even her mate -ex mate. Little by little, it seemed to be wishful thinking, believing she would come back; she didn't even seem to care, and maybe it was time to move on too. But the question was, how could I move on? There was no other person but her. I gave her everything, and I had been wiling to forgive her.

"It shouldn't be something to worry about; the person who killed those vampires might have had some personal hate for them and saw the right opportunity to attack," Lucian said.

"No, that's not what I think; I think it was Cara," I said to him,
