Teo's POV

Emmaline led me into the cave-like building, a very strange place that didn't fit either in an old or new setting; there was just something very strange about the place.

What if this was all a trap?

Did I care? Nope, not one bit. What else did I have to live for?

I thought of my brother Laurent; he would take over the gamma position in my stead; all those didn't seem to matter to me anymore; if Cara was not mine, then I didn't care; but if there was a tiny chance, a little possibility here, then I was willing to take my chances.

A human walked up to me, but when he got close, I recognized that this was no human; this strange creature was taller than any human I had ever seen; its eyes were all black, giving it away it's inhumanity more and I could see it's claws too.
