As the car ride grew silent, I was beginning to reflect on what Caleb had shared with me.
I felt the connection between us grow.
“If it’s not too much, I have a suggestion”,
I said, breaking the quiet atmosphere.
“I am sure you still have some regrets over Viktor; I could be of help to you. Orion needs to pay for what he has done since we all have the same goal; I can still take up your offer to bring him down,” I said, turning to face Ezra.
“Didn’t you say you are unwilling to compromise your reputation because of him?” Ezra replied, raising an eyebrow.
I had indeed spoken of my concerns regarding my reputation earlier, but those thoughts seemed trivial now. “It doesn’t have to involve my reputation,” I countered.
