I asked why he had visited the police station, and he told me that he had gone to visit the man that attacked me the other day.

I don't know, but I felt like Rina was responsible for what happened the other day. I had this hunch that her presence would not yield anything good, and that it would only be a danger for us all. Come to think of it, Chris is right. A long drive would calm my nerves a bit.

Chris and I went for a long drive, and we both stumbled on a joint outside where the car was parked.

Chris asked, “Want a drink?”

I jiggled my head and answered, “Yes, please.”

He walked out and came back holding two bottles of beer. He passed one bottle to me and sat in the driver's seat.

After some time, he asked if I could go for another bottle. I shook my head in the affirmative and he went out to order two more bottles.
