"I'm Travis' sister!" Claudia muttered with a small and forcible smile. "His sister?" Jessica repeated with an unsure voice. 

"That's right! We both have the same father but a different mother entirely!" Claudia lied. "What? Travis has never mentioned anything to me about having a half-sister apart from Emerald." Jessica said, caressing her daughter's hair. 

"Trust me, I'm Travis's half-sister too! Maybe, he has never mentioned me to you because these kinds of things are not really easy to talk about but he has come to accept me despite everything. We have gotten close to each other even if our mothers loved the same man but is Travis around?" Claudia asked, looking around even if she knew that he wasn't home. 

"No, he has been living and working in the city! I can give him a call right now so you could talk to him." Jessica said, bringing out her phone to call Travis.
