Chapter 16. Feelings
Michael did not expect Emma to do what she did. She gave him a kiss on the cheek and even though it wasn't the first time it had happened to him coming from a girl his age, he had never felt such a surge of feelings. It was as if his chest was going to explode, his heart throbbing so powerfully. He blushed with shortness of breath and then lowered his gaze in embarrassment under Emma's lost gaze. She was far too innocent and naive she couldn't know how much she disturbed him with her way of acting so unconscious. Ever since he'd seen her fearful gaze when she walked into their class, he'd known she was going to naturally catch his attention.
This look he recognized was the same as that of his sister when he often takes her in public. She is afraid of the judgment of others and fears their insults. He recognizes the look of people like her and it immediately appealed to him.
But what ends up convincing him is the conversation between Emma and her sister at the end of clas
