Chapter 85. Fake Promises

Anger was boiling deep in my system, as hot as lava. I balled my fingers in a fist while calmly listening to the provoking words of Liam Hamilton.

"Really, it hurts my soul to have seen your little sister bleed out on the floor like that, that too killed by her own father. She was such a bubbly child, the complete opposite of you," he said bemusedly.

I gritted my teeth, still keeping the constant smile on my face.

Liam let out a chuckle as he observed me. "You know, I am really curious. Why did you keep Shirley alive? I was sure you were going to kill that annoyance."

I just rolled my eyes. Although I did want to kill Shirley in the beginning, I didn't because Liam was likely not to care. I couldn't tell Shirley, either. It's not like she would believe me in the first place. She had known her whole life that she was her dad's princess. Little did she have any idea that her father never actually cared for her.
