"Order in the court! Please let the questioning proceed without interruptions. There will be an opportunity for the victim to speak later during their testimony or when called upon. Mr. Gomez, I understand your emotions, but we must maintain a structured and fair process here," the opposing attorney cautioned.
"Let's just listen for now," I told him.

I tried to calm Roy as Auntie Anne and her lawyer continued their conversation.
